I forgot to list the *first* cache * looked for Sat.

GC14XWY O.I.C.U. Found-R-Cache

I think this was my fourth attempt. And it wasn't until I was reorganizing the "cheat sheets" that I noticed the clue on the one for that cache. Worse. I realized that I'd *seen* what it was talking about.

So why didn't I find it? Because my GPS had told me it was farther down last time. And I hadn't taken out the cheat sheet.

Arrrggghhhh!

At least I know *exactly* where to look next time I get down there. Which may be a while.

Oh yeah, while looking in the wrong spot, I spotted a tree that'd obviously been cut down fairly recently by a beaver. Took a couple of photos. If they came out ok, I may post them in the afternoon.

Forty years ago the police in NYC decided to do yet another raid on a bar frequented by weirdos and sickos. At least that was their opinion and that of much of "normal" society.

The patrons of the bar, mostly drag queens, and gays, decided that they'd had enough of it. And a riot broke out.

Over the next week several more riots broke out. National news didn't make much of it.... then.

Now? Every June cities all over the world hold Gay Pride celebrations because of those queens and faggots at the Stonewall Inn.

Seems they've but the *entirety* of Elfquest online.

I saw that the cache nearest me (GC1HRG1 Son of Earl) had been found by someone yesterday. They hadn't logged it til today.

So I took another look. Found it. And then had to manage to get the log signed and the cache back in place without attracting attention.

Fortunately I had my camera as an excuse for hanging around. Got a lot more pics of the tree and a real good shot of the first oak gall I'd spotted.

There's a new Wendy's add that makes a big thing about "fresh" ingredients.

They have customers of some unnamed competitor asking if various things are fresh. And getting evasive answers.

One of the questions was "Is this bacon fresh?" With a reply of "define bacon."

It wasn't until just now that it occurred to me to ask "What the heck is 'fresh' bacon?"

After all, bacon was *created* as a long term storage food (so was ham). It's salted nd smoked to preserve it.

Yeah, modern bacon is a bit different and doesn't keep that well without refrigeration.. But even so "fresh" is not a word to apply to it.

Now "freshly cooked" is a different matter.

I used the electric pump to pump it up over 50 psi (tires are supposed to be inflated to 45-60 psi).

In 15 minutes it was firm but too low to read on my pressure gauge. In 60 it was soft...

Damn. I need a new tube, maybe a new tire.
