Tranny porn
Jun. 7th, 2011 10:19 pmSomeone on one of
fayanora's sites was griping about some tranny porn. I forget whether it was just low quality, unrealistic or exploitive.
Anyway, my mind immediately thought of a response. I had Fay type in some search terms and she quickly located this bit of "appropriate "tranny porn".
Worksafe & childsafe (in spite of all the naked parts on display), but *strong* drink warning.

Locker room
May. 8th, 2011 01:44 pmOk, here's the first scene from that concept in last post.
( Warning, some nudity. )
Ok, I'm looking for feedback. Especially anything that you think should or shouldn't have happened.
Yes, Morgan is being a bit "in your face" about it. He figures (rightly or wrongly) that it's a better bet than acting embarrassed and defensive.
And before anybody asks, no he's not a pre-op TS, and it isn't gynecomastia (rather more complicated than either, and the medical bit probably can't happen)
Also, based on laws in pretty much all the states that have anti-discrimination laws that deal with gender identity, he *is* in the right locker room.

This is based on a nightmare or possibly nightmares I had 20 years ago,
For the younger readers, at that time the Oregon Citizens Alliance (OCA) had gotten a ballot measure passed overturning an executive order by the state's governor that had forbidden discrimination based on sexual orientation by state agencies.
Emboldened by that success, they had put another measure on the ballot. This one forbade the state, or lower levels of government from "recognizing" homosexuals, sadomasochists and witches. With language that said that recognizing included issuing any sort of license or permit.
And there may have been something about schools saying anything "positive" (essentially, worded such that the only allowable mentions would have to be negative). Or that may have been part of the one they tried the next election.
Supposedly the bit about licenses and permits was supposed to keep them from becoming "professionals". You know, doctors, lawyers etc. But as some folks pointed out, the actual wording allowed a lot more.
Campaigning on both sides got rather heated. And then there was a firebombing of a house that a number of folks in the state capitol who were important in the campaign against Measure 9. It latter turned out to be totally unrelated to the campaign (idiots got the wrong house!). But at the time it really ratcheted up the fear.
Now consider that at the time I was on the Board of a local BDSM group and before the ballot measure went public we'd done some publicity that included photos of all the board members. And while not strictly gay, I was definitely bi.
So against that background...

Jan. 12th, 2010 06:55 pmTrans woman injured. Family decides it's "too confusing" to let her stay female
This will make you sick. And make you want to hurt the family.

LJ screws up again...
Dec. 14th, 2009 09:10 pmThis time they are going to force you to choose "male" or "female" in your user info by removing the "unspecified" option.

And yes, it's virtually certain they want this to enable advertisers to better target ads.

So much for genetic sex being obvious..
Aug. 20th, 2009 03:56 pm.. or even "controlling".

Basically a woman who has been pregnant twice and delivered two healthy kids without medical intervention. And *she* is XY/XO. And one of her daughters is XY.
Tell me again about "XY = male, XX=female".

Aug. 19th, 2003 06:50 pmApparently I've served as a role model.
(ok, you can quit laughing now)
Saturday, at the party, I was talking to someone I've known for years. He's been attending these parties en femme for a while.
Imagine my shock when he mentioned that it was my "fault". He'd thought about doing it a few times, but hadn't had the courage to try.
Then he'd seen Brooke at the parties and figured "If Leonard can do it, I can do it."
I think he looks a lot better than I do. :-)
But it was still a bit of a shock finding out that I'd been that sort of influence on someone.

Thoughts on "sex"
May. 5th, 2003 09:04 pm(This is part of a reply I wrote on a TV/TG/TS group recently.)
What you are calling "sexual identity" is closer to what seems to be the "official" definition of gender (at least when you get into definitions that don't lump gender, sex and other stuff together under the same heading).
What you are calling "gender" doesn't really *have* a standard term. I call it "social role" as that comes closest to being a short but quickly understandable term.
As I've said in the past there are a bunch of things that society in general lumps together. And often treats as "either/or" properties, in spite of reality being very different.
physical/anatomical sex is not limited to male/female. And it has no automatic link to any of
the following.
gender/"mental sex"/"sexual identity" (I don't like that last term as it's too easily confused with
"sexual orientation". There are at least three variations here. And again, it's not related to any
of the other categories/classes.
"social role" aka masculine/feminine. Do you "act like a man"? "act like a woman"? or something else. We could use several more *recognized* choices here. As well as it being good if society would quit trying to drag gender into it to limit opportunities or treat people differently for "choosing" the "wrong" role.
Sexual orientation. A *very* complex subject.
In spite of being *aware* of some of these distinctions, the average member of the public tends
to think that they "should" all map to anatomical sex.
