I'd disagree on one point.

There are people out there right now whose words and actions say, "Yes, this is against my religious beliefs, but I made a promise to do this job and I will do it."

In my opinion, that is also an honorable choice.

This is pretty much what I've been saying since the Supreme Court decision was made. Religious freedom does -not- give any sort of official the right to pick and choose to whom they will and will not grant civil rights guaranteed by the Constitution. They have two choices - do their job or get the hell out. It is not acceptable to force one's own religious choices onto people who don't share that religion.
