I've been fighting various computer weirdnesees for the last several days.

And now I'm having to run Norton Disk Doctor on my main windows box. The drive I'm running it on is *only 40 gig. And the projected time to completiomn figure is totally bogus (It says 3:53:xx, but it's only 5% done and has been running for an hour and a half. My projections say it's gonna be more like 33-34 hours)

This sucks mightily,, as my bookmarks are inaccessible, I don't have most of the software I use all the time, etc.

And this may not fix the problem I was trying to solve, anyway.

Hi there - I hope you don't mind my asking what kind of computer wierdnesses you've been having? (I go by Kenora on a.c, by the way.) There are a few common things I'm seeing a lot at work (I do tech support for Road Runner) and depending on the issue, I may have a suggestion or two.
