I've seen Trillian pop up notices that I had email waiting on gmail. (comments from you). But when I download mail, they are gone.

If you recall any comments or replys to my comments in other people's LJs in the last few days, please point me at them. :-(

spam folders on gmail show as empty. I get my hmail stuff via POP3 anyway...

Firewall doesn't do *content*, just IP address & port (well, there are exceptions, but not for the ports used with email.
