Books for sale

Do you know what's worse than needing cash enough to haul 40 pounds of books down to Powell's to sell them?


Having to haul them home again because Powell's wasn't interested in *any* of them.

That was a waste of a bus fare and a couple of hours.

So, I have 20 David Weber books (either solely Weber or Weber and another author) that I'll let go for the best reasonable offer (plus shipping)

I wonder if you would be better off taking down smaller amounts at a time. If you come in 10-15 books, you look more like a customer trading in (and likely to buy something) than someone just trying to get cash.

Trust me, there were folks with a lot more books than I had. And a long line.

I had the misfortune to have all hardbacks. And ones they apparently had "enough" of.

god that sucks. I'm always afraid to bring books in to a store because that might happen.

Well, it's the first time it's happened to me. I'd have been mildly surprised if they'd rejected many. I rather expected low prices. But not wanting *any* of them... :-(
