If Man was created in the image of God, or as in other interpretations, Man is "sparks" of God, then God is a unity of all Mankind.
Which, on the face of it anyway, would make the whole heaven/hell dichotomy make sense. Either you are with the Being, or you need to be exiled so as not to pollute the System. But nooo, they have to do it their way....
