After re-watching Hogfather, I got this evil idea. Since I can't afford it, I'll throw it open to you guys.

Build a custom PC. Use one of the cases with a big, clear window in the side. Then attach an ant farm to the window (on the inside) and slap on a big "Anthill Inside" sticker.

Get a really old PC motherboard that still runs, something like a 12Mhz PC. The ants will act weird when it is turned on.

Back in those days I used to work on PCs, and there were often ants doing weird things in them, like marching in formation on the data and address busses.

I would think that would be a danger to both the ants and the computer.

The ant farm would be part of the side panel, The ants wouldn't have access to the guts of the computer.
