I'd only seen this once before and that was over 30 years ago.

Oh my Ghod. I'd forgotten so much of the way they messed with "proper" culture and society.

Oh, yes. Another one is The Ruling Class (1972, Peter O'Toole). I generally describe that one as, "Suppose Spider Robinson started out to make a movie about a pleasantly insane nobleman, but halfway through the producers sacked him and brought in Harlan Ellison."

I think I saw that one but wasn't impressed.

TMC is just *insane*.

Mind you, with my more "mature" sensibilities I *cringe* at a few of the goings on. The Rembrandt for example.
