Hey Brooke, by any chance do you have a registry cleaning program? The trial version of this one I have says I have over 1000 file registry errors but won't fix them until I pay $30. I would rather not pay that much. Any ideas?
Any particular reason you couldn't have emailed me to ask?
My recommendation is to go buy a copy of Norton Systemworks. The "Basic Edition" not the fancier ones. That'll give you the Norton Utilities, and Norton WinDoctor is good at fixing the registry (and can be persuaded to let you decide which fixes to apply)
Norton Disk Doctor and Speed Disk are also part of the package and a lot better than the equivalents that come with Windows.
