While discussing the pending CA anti-gay marriage amendment proposition, something popped into my head:

Logic. Rule of law. A bigot desires not these things.

Anybody want to make an icon with the words over an image of Yoda?

Oh, bigots want plenty of "rule of law." They just want it to be all in their favor! Which is one problem with laws, isn't it? The government can decide the way you want, or the way you don't want, and either way you have to abide by it.

And this is worse than "might makes right". which is what you get *without* governments?

In any case, part of "rule of law" is things like "the constitution trumps the legislature".
