CA Supreme Court says Gays have right to marry

I take the libertarian view that state sanctioned marriage is just a contract between legal adults (although in some states, minors can get married with their parent's permission), so limiting by gender or number of participants makes no sense.

As I understand it, this ruling means you still can't force the Roman Catholic Church to perform same sex marriages. The state issued legal marriage license though provides all the legal protections and rights that heterosexual married couples have to same sex couples.

So the Poly community is still screwed.
