Christmas "dinner"
Dec. 24th, 2007 11:23 pmMade three trips to the store today to get supplies for my Christmas "feast". Might have made it in only ytwo trips, but thanks to hitting Rite-Aid for some over the counter meds, I needed more cash.
Did buy one "extra" item I hadn't planned on, but had been trying to resist for a bit.
I spent a bit over $7 on shrimp. *Two* shrimp...
Net weight? 0.43 pounds.
Yeah. Almost 4 ounces *each*. They'll be nice as a variation from leftovers in a day or so. :-)
I got a turkey breast to bake, it includes a gravy packet.
Also got stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, veggies for munching (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, some olives and mushrooms.
For dessert, I grabbed a pumpkin pie. And then noticed next to the pumpkin pies a stack of mince pies (note: I've been *looking* for mince pies since before Thanksgiving and they've been notable by their absence). So I grabbed one of those too. And of course, Cool whip for the pumpkin pie.
Gonna be eating leftovers for a while. :-)
