I just made a pair of test posts using the new flags.

http://kengr.livejournal.com/559749.html uses the "Adult concepts" flag.

http://kengr.livejournal.com/559917.html uses the "Explicit adult content" flag.

Neither is anything other than a test of the flagging system. I'm just trying to see if I'm right about them using the birth date info in people's profiles as the key.

ETA: go check your LJ Settings. http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/
Seems they are defaulting people to some level of content filteroing *without asking*.

I didn't have any trouble seeing either, and I have my year of birth on my user info. Yesterday I did a similar test for a friend on my other journal - on which my date of birth is not entered - and was asked to click saying that I am over 14 (it was flagged as adult content). As soon as I said I was, I was able to see the text. I was also able to return to that post in the same session without having to reclick. However, after closing the browser the next time I went to that post I had to assert my age again.
