Back for the night

Back from the con for the night.

Made a couple of passes thru the dealers room and made initial purchases.

Got Alexander Jame Adam's first cd. Listening to it now. Also ran into him in the dealer's room.

Got the new Kris Longknife book. Got a few sparklies and looked at others. Best find were a couple of DVDs of the old Bell Labs Science specials that Frank Capra did:

1st DVD: Our Mr. Sun and Strange Case of the Cosmic Rays
2nd DVD: Hemo the Magnificent and Unchained Goddess

At $12 each they were immediate grabs. Wish they had the others.

I've spotted a couple of definite [winter holiday] presents. Bought one that griffen will either love or hate. <eg>

Apparently (from an amazon search) most of them are available on VHS, it's just these 4 (so far) on DVD

Capra (according to an article I found) only did three of the 9 films.

You can get DVD drives for your computer cheap. And if you have a VCR, all 9 of the things are available on VHS.

I don't watch a lot of TV. Mostly the CSI shows, and some SciFi channel stuff.
