Woman Left in Scan After Clinic Closes
Good grief. I'm sorry, but *someone* should be responsible for people in that sort of procedure at all times. hand-offs of responsibility should be *explicit*.
Yeah, I'm sure it's boring watching that 25 minute scan. But you are *paid* to be there. Not off doing something else.
Given the percentage of patients with conditions that could cause them to pass out or whatever, *any* medical clinic needs to have "positive tracking" of patients. Even showing a patient to an examination room and notifying the doctor that they are there should require *both* the nirse *and* the doctor to make checks to see that they've been "handled" rather than just assume.
