Bureaucracies suck...

kengrBack on April 29, I sent off the forms and check to get a replacement birth certificate from California.
In today's mail, I got a postcard telling me it'd be 12 weeks from that date I received the postvard before I was even allowed to *ask* if there was a holdup.
Given that their website says "12 weeks", and it's been 8 weeks already, I find this to be completely out of line. Not that there's anything I can *do* about it...
Argh. I just re-read the card. The 12 weeks is their *average* processing time.
And while I haven't checked my statement, I bet you they cashed the check the day it arrived!
