kengrSeems that the stocks I inherited from my mom are worth a lot more than I thought.
I just got a check for "fractional value". Seems the company was sold to another company. And unlike the last time this happened they are paying shareholders the value of the fractional shares that were left over.
The check for this fraction is over $700!!!!!!
And since I never got around to getting things straightened out so I could merge the two blocks of stock I own, that means there's a another check this size coming...
Oy.
Doesn't exactly break my heart though.
