kengrAs those of you who've known me for a while know, I think that the sex offender registries amount to cruel and unusual punishment, especially given that many of the folks various state's laws put on them don't belong on there in the first place.

Yep. In Ohio you can now be placed on their list simply because someone asked a judge or DA to put you there. No trial. And you can't get off the list for six years.
