Murphy hates me.

Friday nite I was up too late (but having fun) working on some lightning_war stuff with someone. Then I went to bed around 2 am and read a bit while waiting for my "sleep aid" to kick. Alarm was set for [shudder] 8am.

At *6* am, I was awakened by the screeching of one of my computers. It was doing that because the server was down because the [censored] GFI circuit in the kitchen had tripped (it's done ths before)

So, an hour and a half later things are back running ok. There's no point in going back to bed because the alarm will go off in 30 minutes. That's because mistresscayenne was supposed to show up at 9am or so to drive us both to the con.

9:30, I realize she must have over slept, pull off clothes and crawl into bed.
10:00am I get a call from her. She realizes I'm not terribly coherent and says she'll give me a call in a few hours.

11:00 am, a friend calls, gets hung up on

12 noon mistresscayenne calls again, I get up and we are at con by 1:30.

A bit ago: discovere that have royally screwed up LW stuff.

Now, I've had maybe 3 uninterrupted hours of sleep. plus a couple or three more very interrupted hours. Am rather less than coherent/tracking/whatever...
Bleah.
