Since Serenity makes it clear that everything takes place in a single huge solar system, various crossovers become *much* simpler to write.
Thus... a Firefly/Bujold crossover
A newly discovered (re-discovered) jump track (or whatever they call them in the Vorkosiverse) leads to the system containing the Aliiance and company.
One Miles Vorkosigan (or possibly his brother Mark) gets involved and winds up hiring the Serenity for a little job.
Miles and Mal in the same ship for a week or two. Or Mark and Jayne. Or Mark and Inara.
And let's not even consider the possibilities inherent on Miles/River or Mark/River.
Oh the possibilities.

Date: 2005-10-28 04:27 pm (UTC)The "one system or many" debate has been going on for some time on the Serenity RPG board, with people citing "proof" for both sides. So while I'm not saying it's one way or the other, it's certainly not clear that it's one way or the other.
You can go check out the board for the whole discussion if you care -- I've only skimmed it, so I'm not qualified to debate either position :-).
