Book review
Sep. 22nd, 2006 07:41 amI have just completed the new Heinlein (and Robinson) book Variable Star.
You need to read it. Really.
It's definitely got the Heinlein touches, but it also has Spider's definite touch in many places.
It's obviously set in a variant of Heinlein's "Future History" timeline. With a few bits "borrowed" from other Heinlein stories.
I'm not going to spoil the plot. But I will make a few semi-spoilers about some things below the cut.
