Name help?
Oct. 11th, 2004 08:50 pmI've got a character named Jon in one of my stories (as those of you who've read them already know)
I need a "girl name" for him. Something that's reasonably close.
I've already thought of "Joan" (just slight vowel shift) and "Jonna" (not sure of spelling, but when I was a kid one of mom's friends had a daughter named that).
Any other ideas?

Date: 2004-10-11 10:27 pm (UTC)Jenny is out as shes one of the other primary characters. :-)
I'm not sure how some of those are pronounced.
Jehanne?
Joanne (like jo-ann? or like joan?)
Janna?
Jennet?
I'm going to assume that "Johnna" is the name of my mom's friend's daughter.
Howabout Joni?

Date: 2004-10-12 03:06 am (UTC)it would be pronounced j'anne (a soft j...i can't really verbalize it in text, unless you speak french..)
it's all one word tho, there is no break from the j to the anne...if that makes any sense! :)
