If you call me Leonard, you may or may not know me.

If you call me Shadow, you know me from the old BBS days, Usenet or the BDSM scene.

If you call me Brooke, you know me from one of the TV/TG/TS communities (local or online). Or you're a friend and I'm wearing a dress. :-)

If you call me Erik, you know me from the SCA (or you were in the same foster home 30 years ago)

If you call me Mr. Erickson, you are a telemarketer.

If you call me by any diminutive form of Leonard (Leo, Len, Lenny, etc) you are either my friend Kathy or you are pissing me off royally.

Damn, Zia, you beat me to it. :-) Aside from that I was going to use "we" instead of "I," that's word-for-word what I was going to say.
