Dragonfruit

kengrSo for some time I've seen mentions of dragonfruit in people 's blogs. But it's expensive so I wasn't gonna waste that much money on something that I might not like.
Yesterday, I spotted (again) a fruit bowl at the store that was a layer of pineapple, a layer of strawberries and a layer of dragonfruit. It wasn't too expensive so I grabbed it. I figured that worst case I could throw out the dragonfruit if it tasted awful.
Well, I've now had several pieces of dragonfruit. It did *not* taste awful.
On the other hand, while the texture had some interest, the flavor was pretty much "meh". It doesn't seem have *any* noticeable flavor.
Not sorry I bought the bowl, but wonderimng what all the fuss is about...
