kengrFay and I had a sort of "generic Winter holiday" thing last night. We even hooked her laptop to the new TV that I got to replace the dead one. Whoa! Very much overkill.
We did the relish tray bit, and got sufficiently pigged out on that that we skipped straight to the pie (much later). Fortunately the Turkey had been cooked a couple days ago and was in the fridge. And Stuffing was going to be made "as needed". So that wasn't really a problem.
Alas, I was feeling a bit queasy when I went to bed. When I got up a few hours ago, I was still somewhat queasy and and more significant problems at the other end of the digestive tract.
So I drank some ginger ale, took some immodium, and after a few more trips to the necessary, crashed out fdor a couple more hours.
I'm currently up again for a bit, but I'll be crashing again soon enough.
At least the annual bout of crud is coming at a semi-convenient time.
I've already emailed Fay to cancel the minor trip we'd planned for today. Hopefully the special sammich I was going to treat her to at Red Robin will still be available in a few days.
Keep your fingers crossed. The *right* replacement power supply for Kathy's old laptop that she gave me at Orycon back in November may show up in the mail today. That'll make staying in bed easier. :-)
ETA: Oh yeah, I was going to get a flu shot at an appointment last Monday. Only they canceled and rescheduled to this upcoming Tuesday. Oh well, it'll still hopefully stop *another* variety later in the season...
