Fantasies becoming reality?

kengrToday Darklady posted the announcement for her New Year's Party. I've been thinking about it a lot since she did.
You see, the them involves a "Prom" (a strange and twisted on, but a Prom, nevertheless).
And that is both wonderful and scary at the same time.
You see, I (Leonard) never went to a Prom when I was in High School. And I've had a fantasy for a while of wanting Brooke to have that experience, somehow.
Well, here's an opportunity... except I'm not sure I can pull it off, nor am I sure that trying and having it not live up to my expectations wouldn't ruin it.
As it is, I don't know how much of what I'd like I'd be able to manage anyway.
I'd been planning to do something about getting decent makeup soon anyway. So that's just another incentive. A dress will at worst involve spending money. And it ought to be something I can wear again anyway.
One of the big snags is that I'd like to have a date. A *guy* date. But there aren't very many guys I know who' I'd even feel comfortable asking, much less ones who are likely to agree.
Damn I wish I had a boyfriend....
