Livejournal sucks

If I wasn't a permanent member, I'd be asking for a refund.

First LJ is down for at least 6 hours with a "back up soon" as the only info on the status. Page.

Then it's "sort of" back up but almost useless. And the updated status is if anything *less* informative.

I discovered *why* there are so few new posts showing on my friends page when I tried to reply to a post. It's been over an hour and all my attempts to reply result in a blank page. And if I go back to the post, not only has my comment not appeared, but several others have.

I''ll not be surprised if *this* won't post.

I had to manually post something to LJ because something on the LJ side made crossposts from Dreamwidth not work.

It seems to be coming back in fits and starts. Mine has been up and just fine since about 10:30 this morning. I'm assuming another attack from people with too much time on their hands.

I begin to think that hosting a spambot or being part of a DDOS attack should require your ISP to cut you off until you can satisfy them that you've got reasonable protection on your system.

And the next step would be cutting off IP address blocks for ISPs that can't be bothered.
