While visiting Lin & Kermit, I referred to something as a "whatchamadinger". Which led to Ln saying that she needed to remember it. Seems that she and Kermit refer to random objects as "thingies" a lot and her mother has been getting annoyed by it.

It occurs to me that the good folks reading this LJ can probably come up with a *lot* more such words for both varying her vocabuilary and (likely) annoying her mom less (or more, it's a toss up)

"Stroumpf" is the Belgian for "whatchamacallit", most famously used as the name for a race of little blue people. Americans known them as "Smurfs."
