Reading a story where a coach gives someone a "hardy handshake". I do believe that should be "hearty".

Later, the author has him making a "world wind tour". *sigh*

Recently read a free online sample of a novel; this sample did not encourage me to buy the rest, or any other product by the same publisher.

Besides an insomnia-curing writing style, the story consistently had "lightening" where "lightning" was obviously intended.

I suspect far too many authors, agents and editors are proofreading through sheer force of spell checker.

World wind tour sounds like "breaking" news, IYKWIM, AITYD.

...now I'm imagining the Hardy Boys' secret handshake, and meeting Zephyr, Boreas, Notus, and Eurus in a trip which takes the character all over the globe.

It still doesn't make much sense, but at least it's silly, rather than badly written.

Sounds like one too many viewings of Blazing Saddles if you ask me.

"We present you this laurel, and hearty handshake...."

Well, it could of been worse.
