Supply run...

Fay went with me for the monthly WinCo raidrun.
This is the second month we were able to do it by bike. In spite of the heat, it was fairly pleasant on the way out. I may go back tomorrow to take pics of the wildflowers along the I-205 bike path.
Once again we overdid it a bit. Not as bad as last month, but we did need to carefully load the bikes. Fay has smaller panniers, so the big insulated bag went on her rear rack, as there wasn't clearance for it on mine.
When we got home I dragged the digital scale out from under the kitchen table (I'd set it up there so I could weigh packages I was mailing a while back).
That insulated bag? 27 lbs, all by itself.
Fay's load? 75.8 lbs. Mine? 65.2. For a total of 141 lbs between use. And that's not counting some of the miscellaneous load like water bottles.
It *is* useful for future planning. I now know that if I get some extra cash, I *can* do a 25lb bag of rice and one of beans on my bike (I just shouldn't do it on the same trip with anything else).
And yes, we both collapsed after hauling stuff upstairs.
