Indeed. I think there should be some law that clearly states that people who don't believe in getting medical treatment for *themselves* can do so, but when their belief denies medical coverage to *anyone* else (especially kids) that they no longer have the right. And if they've brainwashed the kids into not wanting medical treatment... tough shit, kid, you're getting it anyway.

There *is* such a law. That's what this trial (and those other ones last year and before) are all about.

And Oregon is one of the few states that *doesn't* have a religious exemption for medical treatment of minors. It might even be the only one.

It got passed because of deaths of other kids in families from the exact same church.
