Still sick

but hopefully it's almost over. Sometime late Wed or early Thurs, my nose quit imitating a faucet. And the fever peaked sometime around then too (101.9 was the highest reading I got)

Apparently it wasn't the flu as my stomach and the other end of my digestive tract have been well behaved. So it's just "the cold from hell" that I get occasionally.

Last night was the onset (and thankfully, a few hours later, the end) of the "try to cough large amounts of crud out of the lungs" stage. I'm very happy that's over with, especially as many times that stage has lasted for days.

Still a bit stuffed up in the head and achy in places, but I'm probably mostly ok now. We'll see.

Next bit is to be able to stay upright for extended periods. Well, I *can*, but I think my spending most of the time horizontal helped a lot. In the past, this soprt of thing has dragged on for more than a week. Guess I'm acquiring some wisdom with the gray hairs.

Yes. Though I may kick you off the couch and have you use the secondary computer at the desk if I get tired.

I lost damn near to a month. 3 weeks nearly decerebrated by this. Get well.

Well, I quit pushing fluids when I was peeing hourly (abnd very pale pee and that). I actually "wasted" a test strip to check my blood sugar in the middle of that. It was only 145, so I just cut back a bit on the fluids (very diluted gatorade, not a good idea for diabetics to drink straight gatorade)
