Stupid clients...

kengrI just discovered Clientcopia.
While reading the stupid client quotes, I encountered yet another "Can uyou put the Internet on this disk?" story.
And I suddenly realized how to explain to someone why you can't (do note that there is *no* way to explain it that won't make them feel dumb, but at least this has a decent chance of getting them to *understand* that they are being dumb)
"What would you do if someone handed you a blank video tape and asked you to put 'television' on it. That is, all the TV programs in the past, present and future."
"That's the sort of thing you just asked me to do."

There's a difference between "stupid" and merely uneducated..
