Well, I made a big step today in getting the clutter level in the apartment down (which I am required to do by 11/2)-:

Lin called and she and Kermit came by in their van. We got an ok load into it and I rented another storage locker. I'll be shifting stuff around between them later, but this was simpler. Then we went and bought some heavy duty shelving. Those suckers are expensive. I got three units and I'll probably need 6-10 more. Ouch.

I need to get insurance so I can borrow the van and move stuff myself.

After dragging shelving to the storage unit (I'll be setting it up tomorrow) we wanted to get something to eat. So I got sneaky. I asked them in "non fancy" Chinese was ok. When they said yes, I called Kathy, who lives all of two blocks from an ok Chinese place. She was free, and willing.

So I got Lin & Kermit introduced to Kathy. And I picked up the tab (that way *I* got the leftovers :-)

Now I gotta see if griffen got any email about the tickets...


Oh yeah, at the restaurant, Kermit pointed out that a seam had failed on my T-shirt. Over a foot of seam, under the armpit. <sigh>

Hugs are good. But knowing how you feel about them, you can say something like "spanks & kisses" instead. :-)

BTW, the rooms were smoking. That's what they had left. Hopefully, it won't be a problem.
