I'm watching his concession speech. He's being a class act.

I can't say the same for the audience. Several times at the start they were booing mentions of Obama.

I'm somewhat encouraged by the smattering s of applause and cheering later. But it still feels like they are more upset at his loss than the Democrats would have been if Obama had lost.

The cheering was *far* more enthusiastic when he mentioned Palin.

God help us, I think they *are* going to try running her in 2012.

Wait, what? So it's all over already? And Obama won?

PARTY TIME!

Palin running for Pres in 2012? Might as well put Paris Hilton in charge of the nuclear arsenal.

My first reaction was "hur, hur, hur" But then I remembered they elected Bush for a second term.

Wasn't Condolesa Rice Republican? A shoe-in? Female AND black.

I don't think Condi wanted it, and I can't say as I blame her. As for Palin -- bring it on :-). If Huck couldn't win the nomination, I don't think Ms. 48% disapproval ratings is going to be that big of a threat.

We also thought that McCain's speech was classy and gracious. I just hope there aren't too many dead-enders out there who resist trying to bring the nation back together. There will be some -- there's always that small percentage who refuse to get with the program. But, well, hope won last night :-).
