I've got a couple of items I bought at Trader Joe's ages back and I really want to use them on something other than plain old bread.

Lemon Curd & Ginger Spread

What would they go well on? Preferrably something that doesn't add en ormous carb count to the already high carb count from them alone.

I don't have any ideas for the lemon curd, but I'd be tempted to experiment with the ginger spread and salmon, or some other kind of fish. I'm not sure whether putting the spread on before cooking or after cooking would be better.

I'm not really a foodie...just weird.

They do a Weightwatchers lemon curd and I have some jars as there was a special offer :). I like it on Ryvita (crispbread) spread with low fat cream cheese first. Like cheese cake but fewer carbs. And less fat. Also very nice is on pumpernickel (from delis-is German black bread in stores for ages form)or some fresh black farm bread. I love the contrast of the heavy, rough farm bread with the cheese and sweetness of jam or curd. But pumpernickel is lots of calories and fat. And a whole pack would be tempting and too much as bluerose doesn't like it.

Also traditional English tart
