Troubling milestone
Aug. 13th, 2007 06:17 pmThis afternoon I gave myself a T shot for the first time.
It's troubling partly because I want to see about getting away from them. But more because I'm *quite* needle-phobic. And that IM injection needle looks to be a mile long.
Fortunately, I could barely feel it. Still a *weird* feeling doing that to myself.

Date: 2007-08-14 04:28 am (UTC)Yeah, the Nurse gave me the labels off the needles and syringe so I'll know what to order.
Of course, I've already paid for one more shot *they* have to give.
And I need to talk to my doctor about lowering the dose or something. Aside from the fact that I may not be able to afford any of my meds by the end of the year, there's also the fact that I'm not thrilled with some of the "side effects".
But knowing how to give myself shots will be useful. Especially if I ever go on the "right" hormone.
