I haven't seen any official announcements yet, but Yahoo apparently tried to roll out an "improvement" to increase the speed of mail delivery early on Wednesday.
What *actually* happened is that anyone subscribed to a Yahoo list is receiving up to a dozen copies (maybe more) of every message posted to the groups.
Given the programming "competence" displayed by things like messages sent using their "new and improved" edito having more *garbage* HTML (mostly comments) than actual content, I'm not hopeful for a quick fix.
Yahoo may actually shoot themselves in the foot badly enough to make folks start looking elsewhere. Won't break my heart.
They've been actively anti-user for years.

Date: 2007-03-29 04:57 pm (UTC)One group, I got nine of one post, but only 2 or 3 of others. And of all the groups I'm on, I've only really noticed it on two. But I knew it wasn't me when others on the one group mentioned getting multiples, too.
Sigh.
Maybe this will be good for googlegroups.com :-).
