I've known for ages that among CD/TV types and even many TG/TS folks "drab" is want you wear when you can't be "en femme".
Well, the author had a xcharacter explaining it as being an acronym: DRessed As a Boy
I strongly suspect that's a back-formation (ie "drab" came first and someone later came up with this "ancronym" formation) But I like it anyway.
Funnily enough, it'll also work for "drag". :-)
