As I may have mentioned, *last* week I was trying to avoid coming down with the "crud" I get this time of year.
Monday it hit. It's pretty much stabilized, and I'll likely be achey and coughing up crud for a few more days. Ick.
Rant time.
I went to the store to get some cough syrup to help bring up the "crud". they had *at least* two dozen varieties. I finally found one that didn't say "children's" and *only* had a decongestant and an expectorant.
Not that I say *finally*. Most had antihistamines (I'm long past the stage here they would matter) and acetaminophen and other things.
To top things off, when I got home, I found that I'd gotten a "children's" version after all, as there's no "adult" dosage listed. Grrr!
Maybe I'm weird. But I'd much rather have *several* things that have *one* active ingredient than one thing with several.
I *do* sometimes take multi-ingredient medicines, but the ones I take are combos of things I take singly at other times.
I learned this the hard way years ago when it turned out that one ingredient in something I was taking (Contact?) was apparently *prolonging* the allergy attack I was having. After days of no improvement, I gave up and quit taking the pills. And got better in a few *hours*.
So after that, I went and *hunted for stuff with a single active ingredient, and when I found one that worked, I used it. And avoided things that combined it with other stuff I hadn't "tested.
Anyway, enough ranting about over the counter crap.
I seem to have also strained a muscle in my groin. At least if I step wrong there's pain where my left leg and my groin meet.
I hope I get over this soon. I've got stuff I need to do.
