Help?

For a couple of my stories I'm thinking about the characters trying to start a GLBT "club" at their (near future) high school.

Anybody know what would be involved?

I'm more interested in what happens when the school isn't against the idea, even if some of the student body is. But I'll take any info on what is usually involved in starting student groups, as well as good and bad experiences with students and admin about starting GLBT groups at schools.

I started the one in my highschool, I went to one of the guidence counsellors who happend to be gay, and we set it up. It took one class time a week and was terrific!

So what did you need beside a faculty advisor? Any idea what hoops he had to jump thru with the school?

Let me put it this way. I had to spend several hundred dollars to be able to weigh myself at home...
