Well, the day got off to a lousy start.
Y'see, I've had some blood tests I'd been putting off because they required a 10 hour fast beforehand. Well, Thursday I noted that I'd goofed and couldn't get another refill on my metformin without my doctor reviewing things, and that'd require the tests.
So got up this morning (slept longer than I expected) and it was 9 hours then. It was 11 hours by the time I got to the clinic. To discover that the lab had a 40 minute wait for blood work. <sigh>
Finally got the blood drawn. And I was more nervous than usual (Hey
griffen, no fair infecting me with your anxieties!!! :-). But by breathing carefully I got thru it.
After that I paid the co-pay for the lab tests ($45. Ouch.) And ate a low carb energy bar to tide me over until I could get real food.
Took the MAX to Lloyd Center. And did something to the Achilles tendon on my left foot while walking to the MAX. I can walk on it, I just don't enjoy it.
Had Chinese in the food court. After that, I picked up a book at Barnes & Noble ("The River Wars" by Eric Flint). I also checked for a replacement for my fanny pack which has a seam starting to go..
Alas, they (as usual) wouldn't reach around me. But I saw a purse/shoulderbag that looked like it'd do. It doesn't scream *purse*, but it'll be fine for using when I'm Brooke too.
Tomorrow I'll rattle some chains about getting a renewal on the prescription and making an appointment for other stuff.
I still need to get out to the sleep lab to get the "spare" CPAP a friend gave me calibrated for me.
