Bloglines.com

Someone asked Bloglines.com to link and archive my LJ. I've asked them to remove this.
In case you weren't aware, they automatically archive content, and do *not* track changes. So, for example, if I friends lock an entry after posting , it won't necessarily be friendslocked there.
Also, they hot-link to any links in your LJ.
See this for more info about Bloglines and possible shortcomings of being linked there.
I've emailed them asking to be removed *and* asking them to not hot-link to content at *any* website in my domain.

Date: 2005-04-18 12:46 pm (UTC)There's no way to tell what country an LJer is in (other than trusting any locatyion info in their profile). And I have no idea what paid accounts would have to do with it. Heck, I'm not even sure what the word "that" in the above sentence refers to.
Would we know if they link to us?
Go to the website foir bloglines (there's a link in that post I linked) and enter your LJ name into the search box.
Do they notify you?
Nope. I saw someone else post about being upset that they'd been put on Bloglines and went to check to see if I was there.
EEEk?
Could be.
It's probably just a "good idea" implemented very badly.
