Scam warning!

I just got a letter from "Domain Registry of America" It claims to be a notice that my registration will expire soon, and offering to renew it. But I smell scam. Especially since they want $25 a year and are ever so carefully avoiding saying that they are my current registrar.

Aha!, re-reading it, I found the weasel worded section.

"... and now is the time to transfer and renew your name from your current registrar to the Domain Registry of America."

That is why i did mine with the oldest and most know registrar.

Irrelevant. These folks aren't *my* registrar.

Only reason you haven't gotten one is that you probably aren't listed as the admin contact for your domain.
