... of mice and men gang aft agley.
As I hate sitting around at home alone on my b-day, I'd called a couple of friends last week. They were gonna pick me up at 1 pm today. And we were gonna do "stuff". <g>
So I crashed out early last night, not long after talking to them. And woke up at 5am. <sigh>. So I did stuff on the computer for a bit (til 8am) and crashed out again, with an alarm set for 11, so I'd have time to get ready.
3 hrs is a bad number for me with regards to sleep. So I was kinda foggy when I got up. But I got ready and did stuff while waiting.
At 1:30 I called. and got a very sleepy friend who explained that my other friend had a bad episode of (I assume) depression and she'd driven her up to the VA psych ward. And gotten home at 7am.
So we may be doing something tomorrow.
I crawled back into bed and crashed out for a few more hours. I'm awake and eating pizza now.
And once again am spending Feb 14 alone.
