Star Trek ooops
Sep. 12th, 2022 05:22 amI was watching a bit of Star Trek when something jumped out at me.
It was in an officer's room (never mind which one) and there were a lot things sitting on top of a cabinet. Something we've all seen many times before.
But *this* time I flashed on one of the many scenes of folks getting thrown all over the place during attacks. Which made me realize that all these unsecured items all over the ship would get thrown around as well.
No way was that safe (or practical). Federation starships shouldn't *have* unsecured items like that. Instead they should have things set up like (wet) Navy vessels. Railings on shelve, cabinets with doors that lock, etc.
This is a *major* goof that has gone unnoticed for *decades*. Yeesh.
