Had an idea some time back while discussing some things with other authors in a shared universe setup.

I've recently remembered it and I'm wondering how practical it would actually be.

Mostly I need info about decompression stops and maybe a bit about breathing mixes.

I often don't remember my dreams. But sometimes I have pretty vivid ones on a recurring theme or related themes.

This time, however, I want to go into a different type. There are neighborhoods I know well that exist only in recurrent dreams. I can find traces of real places in them, but they aren't real.

There are places I've lived in dreams that I was certain I'd actually lived at. Heck once, I was setting up a list of places I'd worked and lived because at the time I was running into forms that wanted such info going back various amounts of time.

I had to sit there and go "Ok, I lived there then I moved to X, then to x, then to Z" before I realized that one place was from my dreams!

There's an apartment I recall renting for just a month or so between other places, except it was only in my dreams.

More recently there was some sort of low income shared housing I lived in in some dreams with a consistent but odd layout for the apartment and for the building. Complete with an annoying neighbor who had a second door that opened into one of my rooms...

I've also had a couple of different apartment layouts that are "interesting" but don't tie to a real place *or* to a particular dream place. But they've been consistent in dreams where everything happened inside.

And even more recently I moved (was moved) to a much better place place in some sort of complex from the weird place with the annoying neighbor. I say "was moved" because in one dream I was sick or stuck or something and when I got back to the place with the weird layout and that shared door, I was told "oh no, we closed that down to remodel into something more reasonable and your stuff has been moved to YYY.

I got taken over to it had it was a high rise sort of thing with shops/businesses on the first floor(s). There was a sidewalk up a slope that led to a side entrance on the second or third floor and my new apartment was a a short walk down the hall.

So now I've had several dreams where I've had trouble getting home (learning the neighborhood) which isn't a problem I usually have in real life. Mopre fun, I've had several dreams where I'm trying to figure out how to get to my apartment from the front entrance.

As in I'm not sure which of the entrances on the font of the building would let me get there, and I don't know my address or apartment number.

Weird, but realistic in the dream.

Oh yeah, a recent recurring oddity is that wandering around a run down commercial/industrial area "nearby" I've now encountered an *aardvark* several times. A *teal* aardvark (looks like a dye job except the skin is the same color. Apparently somebody's pet that wanders around the neighborhood.

Ok, so my mind is strange... :-)
