If so, please tel her that it's incredibly rude to send emails to people making false accusations and then have your settings set such that they can't reply.

She accuses me of not liking black people. And of blaming Prop 8 on the fact that black people can note. And then expects this to convince me to see a movie. (as if I can afford movies. Haven't been to one in years)

I've been unfriended by one, person and won't be too surprised if others do the same.

But I'm going to state my position clearly.

Making serious accusations AS STATEMENTS OF FACT in a message sent via LJ *solely* for the purpose of using it for emotional blackmail is reprehensible. Having your "privacy" setting set such that it is not *possible* to reply to the message indicates that you *expect* to get called on it and don't want to deal with the fallout.

Making a private discussion of your misdeed impossible, you'd better expect to get called on it publicly. And to avoid accusatations of putting words in your mouth, the exact words you used will get used.

Mind you, if there's a reasonable explanation (something I seriously doubt will be forthcoming) then that post will go away.

And it all could have been avoided by either not sending a message based on (at best) majorly flawed *assumptions* presented as fact, or by not blocking in advance the person(s?) you sent it to.

Was my response rude? Maybe. But it was in response to an attempt to be rather more than rude *and* to avoid getting called on it.

I've had people say worse things to me and about me. But I didn't make it public *because* they were at least willing to argue things in private until we got sick of the argument.

Again, snipe at me with *clearly* ulterior motives and attempt to avoid letting me call you on your BS? Ain't gonna happen.

If you aren't willing to have someone reply to what you send them? Then don't send it.

Trying to bully me into doing what you want? Expect to regret it.
