Yahoo sharing "updates"...
Jun. 12th, 2010 11:37 amon your Yahoo related stuff (posts to yahoo groups, use of some apps, etc) to anyone who puts your address un their yahoo address book!!!
More details and links to opt-out here:

ETA: The links given *all* took me to the sign-in screen for Yahoo Pulse. And I had to edit the URL *by hand* to get to the settings screen.
On top of that, I found that even though I'd opted out of the earlier updates thing, I'd been opted back in when they went to this "Pulse" thing.
Yahoo has a history of deciding that you really didn't mean to opt out of something whenever they "upgrade". Grrr.
We need a law requiring that mailing lists and other thing (like this nonsense) must be *opt-in*.
Yes, it'd screw with a lot of people's business models. Tough. Business models that require Opt-out are generally not in the public interest anyway.
